Beware of Ebay / Blackberry

I bought new blackberry 9520 thru ebay, now the prob is i m getting full current supply in back side panel while charging.. No authourised blackberry service centre has accepted for service since it is online purchase. Previously i was using blackberry 8320 for past 5yrs and with that trust i bought this new one. Now i really felt so sad.  I just want to suggest blackberry to not sell their products thru ebay, b coz after this i dont encourage blackberry, have planned to to go to iphone.

Bcoz of this issue, even 3 friends of mine hav changed their plan to iphone.

Re: Beware of Ebay / Blackberry

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Oh my, yes...you do have some problems indeed. But, to clarify -- to my understanding, RIM does not sell BBs direct to end users via any channels whatsoever, including eBay. Rather, resellers buy BBs from RIM and resell them via whatever channels they choose...and RIM cannot control what the resellers do. But, there are authorized and unauthorized resellers. Authorized resellers are responsible for all warranty support to the end user, and have all the necessary channels for escalating cases into RIM that require it. Unauthorized resellers...well, no one should be buying from them anyway IMHO.

Here is some perhaps helpful information:

Good luck!
