Big problem blackberry storm 9520

My battery ran dead so I put it on charge and it wouldn't come back on, I tried again later and I worked but soon went back off again, ive tried leaving it on charge for many hours and still doesnt work, ive bought 3 new batteries and none will work, ive borrowed a friends battery that deffinately works but still wouldnt turn my phone on. ive followed instructions to download desktop manager but i cant do the instructions because my blackberry has to be connected to the pc but it doesnt sync becaus my phone doesnt turn on!! ive tried leaving it on charge via usb for over 8 hours and still doesnt work. ive tried with different types of charges and still fails. i cant find any other problems at all with the phone and cant take back to the shop as it was bought off a friend and the warranty has ran out. please please please help!!!

The good news -- you've done an excellent job at troubleshooting! Well done!

 

The bad news -- from what you report, your BB has died. If it will not turn on at all, even with a known-good and charged battery, then it's likely gone for good. But, there is one more thing to try.

  1. With the battery in, put the BB onto a known-good charger (make sure that charger works on your friends BB)
  2. With it still on the charger, remove the battery
  3. Leave it that way (BB on charger, battery out) for 5 minutes
  4. Put the battery back in (make sure that the charger stays well connected throughout all of this)

Sometimes, this sequence will kick a BB back to life. Be sure to wait at least 20 minutes after step 4 before deciding anything.
