Mr_M, I've answerred your question where you posted elsewhere. Please don't double and cross post in the forum. It's considered rude to do this. Thanks!

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Tested it again, to see if my browser was failing, but no, the link fails.

It is this link, to a PDF

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/BlackBerry%20App%20World%20Frequently%20Asked%20Questions.pdf

The link is named 'Blackberry App World FAQ'.

In this message:

http://208.74.204.192/t5/BlackBerry-App-World-General/BlackBerry-App-World-additional-support/m-p/20...

from Beholder. It was posted long time ago: 04-02-2009 12:00 AM, might explain why it is dead...

I'd like to find the replacement for this PDF.

I would suggest trying this:

  • Go to Options > Device > Applications and scroll the AppWorld application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
  • Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install the AppWorld application again.
  • After installation and possibly another reboot, check your homescreen or another folder, or Downloads folder for the application.

Re: BlackBerry App World additional support

Hi, I have the same problem as Sam (above). I have a Torch 9800, OS6, and after installing the latest version of App World the icon disappeared. I tried the steps (precisely) as mentioned above, in response to Sam's query, but it did not help.
