BlackBerry Bold - Media Card Errors

[ Edited ]

Yesterday I synced and backed-up my Bold.  Closed out normally.  Next time I turned the phone on I got (and still get) the message: "A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."

First of all, What happened?  Second I have tried chkdsk, "can't lock disk", Advanced system care for windows, cant find the (in this case) G: drive.

I am running Win XP SP2.  Any thoughts?  Help?

Thanks in advance.

PS closed out normallymeans shut down BB Desktop software, click on Safely Remove Hardware icon, choose G: drive, and wait for itto tell me "Ok to remove device".

OK, sometimes desperation helps.  I pulled up an OLD (2005) copy of Norton System Works, Went to Utilities, Find and fix errors, Disk Doctor then checked Fix Errors box in lower left corner of dialog box, and it worked like a champ!  Problems gone, all info I have checked is still there.  Guess I'll keep Norton around.
