BlackBerry Desktop Software

Hi,

I have a new computer with windows 7 64bit

I try to download the desktop software with no luck

 

where I can find the link for it?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Please expand on "no luck"...I can attest that the current Desktop Software version downloads, installs, and works just fine on Win7x64-Ultimate and Win7x64-Home Premium. The download file is "700_b060_multilanguage.exe", which I believe is the same file for all Desktop Software, no matter the Windows version.

So, an expansion on what "no luck" means might help us greatly in trying to help you.

Greetings. Yesterday I attempted to sync my playbook to the desktop at
work. This computer is running Windows 7. The Blackberry desktop informed
me I needed to upgrade the software. It would not link to the Playbook or
my 8130. The software would not upgrade. I then moved the playbook to my
older computer running XP. Again I was informed I needed to upgrade. I
accepted the terms and allowed the upgrade. The computer hung up and showed
the blue screen with location errors. The error screen indicated I should
run CHKDSK/F if the other efforts failed. CHKDSK would not run. I could not
access last known good configuration. I removed the hard drive this morning
and accessed it remotely through a test computer we have. I ran CHKDSK/F
and this repaired the problem.

I am suspicious that this may be a virus on your system and that it is
hidden in a false upgrade request. I am not able to tell you which version
of Blackberry Desktop I was running on the XP machine since it no longer
exists. The download has removed it from the computer. Hopefully this helps
you.
