BlackBerry-ID NOT working

After having my (other) phone stolen with my BB simcard, i've got a new simcard.

When I startup my blackberry now, I cannot login on my Blackberry ID. I have an extremely simple pasword so that cannot be wrong. I've resetted it several times and still it will not accept it. Eventhough it does get accepted it on the website. But not on my phone!

So I have 2 questions:

1: What can I do to acces my BB? (resetting password does not work)

2: What happens if I choose to remove my BB-ID? (it says that it will remove everything. Also pictures ea?)

Hope you guys/girls can help me....

Thanks in advance!

Gijs

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

First off, please tell us the exact message it presents to you when you attempt to, on this new BB, log into your existing BB ID..."it will not accept it" has too many possibilities, rendering guesswork useless. The exact message, including all punctuation therein, will help us to help you.

Thanks and let us know!

Re: BlackBerry-ID NOT working

Try this on your BLackBerry:

(note, you MUST have the BlackBerry data plan on this SIM card you've inserted)

  1. Options > Device > Applications, scroll to BlackBerry AppWorld and delete it.
  2. Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  3. Now, using your BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download AppWorld again. It will update your BlackBerryID as well.
  4. Login.

Re: BlackBerry-ID NOT working

But if it doesn't accept his password on his new number, shouldn't he just go to "setup" and click on "email settings" and just add a new account with his number? Will this work?

I don't know of a place in the email setup to add an email with a specific phone number.

Re: BlackBerry-ID NOT working

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the replies! However, I cannot enter any setup or whatever.

It just says: Enter BB-ID... then: " Unable to sign in on your blackberry id account"

This results in a locked blackberry.

So I cannot delete my BBworld or anything else. The only choice I have is: Get the correct password (that doesn't work) or remove my ID.
