BlackBerry ID

I had a problem with my BlackBerry ID when I first got the phone. I went to the Bell Aliant store and the gentleman there did some hocus pocus and miracle everything worked fine. Well I wanted to download an App and it asked me for my BB Id but the e-mail address that came up was my e-mail address but with a "4X" as the first characters. I don't know what he put in as the password and the BB System wants to send the reset password information to an e-maill address that is non-existent.... We vwent back to the Bell Aliant store and the fellow there said that the only thing we could do was to do a 'Factory Reset' or a 'Security Wipe'. There must eb some other option - Of course there is no Help Line for BlackBerry......
