Re: BlackBerry Maps

When you say installed, installed from where?  Several carriers block to attempt to get you to use carrier navigator.  Try to go to http://mobile.blackberry.com, scroll down to What's New, look for Download Blackberry Maps.  Download from there.

Re: BlackBerry Maps

If you can't get to that website on your Blackberry, carrier is probably blocking.  Otherwise, only suggestion is to check spelling and make sure the link is typed correctly.  I was just able to get to http://mobile.blackberry.com just fine.

Re: BlackBerry Maps

the solution is to try and install from your computer

i had the hardest time trying everything suggested here and ultimately the only way to get it re-installed i found was to reinstall using the blackberry desktop software

Re: BlackBerry Maps

Upgrade or reinstall your device operating system.

See the link below for the download, and follow these simple installation instructions.

First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
