BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220

Hi

Just got a BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, entered all my contacts but when I try to use them from the contact book the phone adds extra numbers in front of the number e.g. 861  can anyone explain please?  Using phone in UK on a virgin sim.

many thanks

Re: BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220

Press the phone button (often green but it's the one on the left) to take you to the phone app.  Hit the menu key (BB Logo key) and go to Options.  Look for smart dialing options.  Change that to the proper country.

Re: BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 more help needed please?

How do I change the amount of times that the phones rings on incoming calls please?   At the moment it only rings twice which doesn't give me time to answer it!

many thanks

Re: BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220

That is set by your carrier. You can contact them and they can increase it usually to a max of 30 seconds before going to voicemail.
