BlackBerry Slow

I have BB World Edition 8830. Frequently, at least once a day, my BB slows down with endless hourglass display. I heard that BB has memory cache problem that needs to be flushed out only by removing the battery and putting it back. Unfortunately, doing is too frequently is a pain, especially when booting takes hell of a lot of time.

Any idea, why the BB slows down so frequently and how to get over it?

Re: BlackBerry Slow

Do you have a lot of programs installed or running? You may not have enough memory left.

Re: BlackBerry Slow

I do know RIM is working on an OS for the 8830 to fix the memory leak and EVDO issues, you will be perfect for this update. Smiley Happy

Re: BlackBerry Slow

Are you closing all of your applications? If you hit the "end call" key you are pushing the application to the background & it could slow other things down.

You could try this program:

SoftReset

Re: BlackBerry Slow

You can also view all open programs by going to home page and pressing alt and the key to left of the end button.

Re: BlackBerry Slow

Try deleting unused or less important apps. Periodically use the memory cleaning apps. Clear the browser cash might also help!

Re: BlackBerry Slow

Thanks. This helped me the most. Once I knew which apps were running in the background, I could close them, and I don't see BB running slow again.
