BlackBerry Tour Software Version 7.1

I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 Pro, loaded my original software disk for my BlackBerry Tour 9630, then upgraded with the new 7.1 software. When I try to syn my BlackBerry with the laptop it syns 1/2 of the data and an error message comes up and the rest of the data won't sync. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to solve this problem. I even downloaded the upgrade again but the same thing happens. Is there another version that I should download?
