Re: Blackberry 8520 Curve keeps freezing on reboot

Hello Kayla_Brewer

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

Have you recently installed any application before this Problem started ? Think carefully any theme, wallpaper, any games !

If you have then try to boot your device on Safe Mode , On Safe Mode delete any application which you think might be responsible for this issue , from Options > Device > Application Manegement > locate and delete any newly installed 3rd party application , it might help in resolving your issue :

KB17877 : How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

KB10040  :How to view or remove installed application on a blackberry smartphone

Try it and let us know.

Re: Blackberry 8520 Curve keeps freezing on reboot

Hi there,

Thanks for this confirmation !

Well.. Do you have a previous backup of your device or using BlackBerry Protect for backup ?

If you don't have a backup then please try to boot on Safe mode ( it may multiple attempts to get success ) and delete that particular application , it will resolve your issue .

Or , if you have a backup or Unable to boot on safe mode then to resolve your issue you have to load the OS again , as you device is on a reboot loop it will not allow a simple reload , So , follow this KB to reload the device OS . But as I said this method will delete all data within your device memory .

KB10144  : How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader

Try it and let us know if you feel any problem.
