try to use furious box for unlocking its easy to use...

I have the same problem. When i type MEP2, the unlocking window does not show. Do i need to try with a different sim card? In my case  all apears disabled.

I have the same problem but my provided tells me I do not have to unlock a 8830 to put in a foreign SIM. I just posted a question above and you may want to follow answers (if any) to see if this is indeed true.

 

Also, the weekend before I depart for Europe I will be in the US visiting a friend and I am going to try his SIM card in my 8830 to see if it will work. I will be home on Feb 25 and will check to see if there has been a resolution to our dilemma. Good luck. Ron

BB8830 World EDition - Verizon - Not working with VODAFONE SIM card.

Hi,

 

I bought BB8830 world edition from US to India. It works fine with Airtel Network. But its not working With Vodafone SIM card.

Option--security option-- Certificates-- Vodafone WLTS(x - red cross mark) is there. It expired on 2008. 

Please let me know any one to find out solution for this. whether I need to updated the BB OS or how it works with vodafone SIM..

 Please post the answer in <removed> also.
