Blackberry 9320 Wi-Fi problems

I got my BlackBerry 9320 on Tuesday (Christmas Day) and it worked great for the first two and a half days. Yesterday afternoon, my BlackBerry became disconnected from my NETGEAR WiFi (not sure how) and when I try to reconnect it to my NETGEAR WiFi it says 'Failed to associate with the network.'  I have the option to connect to BTWiFi and BTWiFi-with-FON but you appear to have to pay for both of them, and I don't want to and can't afford to pay for WiFi when I have my own. The only other option I have is my neighbour's internet which I can't use because it's password protected. Nothing has changed with my Netgear WiFi box and it's still providing internet to the computers. How do I make my BlackBerry connect to it again? I've tried removing the NETGEAR connection from saved networks and then reconnecting it again by entering the password but it comes up with the same error still. I've also tried unticking mobile network and WiFi and it still doesn't work. It also says to check that wireless network is connected if  I try to go to BlackBerry App World. If you could help me on this problem, I would really appreciate it, thank you.

Re: Blackberry 9320 Wi-Fi problems

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Apologies for the delayed reply...hopefully you already got this solved, but just in case!

Your basic problem is that you've lost connection to your WiFi...most of your other symptoms are cascaded from that. Please check another WiFi connected device to be sure that the SSID you are using is the correct one that they are using. Also check, on your WAP, the password and be sure you are using exactly that (case sensitive and special characters included). If your WAP supports WPS and your BB can use that, then that would eliminate the need for you to enter the password on the BB as you configure it for your WiFi.

Also be sure to try a batt-pull reboot of your BB (power ON, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait). You also should check your WAP error log to see if it can give you any further hints. You may also want to reboot your WAP to see if perhaps it's gotten some errors that need to be cleared.

Good luck!
