Blackberry 9360 continuos reboot

Hello to all the comunity, my issue with my phone is that it keeps rebooting no matter what i do, the phone has 1 year old and now i bought a new battery for it, but the issue continues and my new battery life is exactly the same as the old one, wich it last about 4 hours. One thing i notice is when i plug my headphones and try to play music, it reboots itself.

What should i have to do to get my problem solved?

Re: Blackberry 9360 continuos reboot

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Good luck and let us know!

Based on what you mentioned about playing music, I would also try removing the media card (if installed) and see if the rebooting continues.

Is the music on a microSD card?

Re: Blackberry 9360 continuos reboot

I don't think Whatsapp is the problem. I think there is an issue with your SD card. Remove the card and see if the reboots continue.

Re: Blackberry 9360 continuos reboot

It's not the first time I've seen this. Most likely it was a corrupted file. If you formatted it in the device you should be able to load your music back to it and it will likely be fine.
