Blackberry 9860 Heating

[ Edited ]
I am from Philippines. I am using blackberry 9860. I have been using the unit for 9 months. Just a couple of days ago, I encountered a probable serious problem on my phone. The unit heats up and become hot. I am afraid that I would lead to breakdown of the motherboard. The problem here in the Philippines is that, I can't find a legitimate BB Service Center where I can bring my phone. Can you please help me regarding this problem. You may email me at <removed> Edit: personal information removed for security of user.

First things first, please remove your email address from your post. Personal information is not allowed.

Many times, a battery pull will correct this problem. Just remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

Re: Blackberry 9860 Heating

On device go to Options, Device, Application Management is a great way to see what your apps are doing with your CPU usage on Smartphone. Just slide top bar to CPU and see what is going on. Also touch the CPU menu to see other time variables. I found out that an app was eating away CPU cycles on mine

Disable Compression on media card? go to Options, Device, Storage

using a custom theme? try it for a day the factory default one to rule out your theme

remember the esc key closes most apps, except for GPS and some chat clients. the other apps need to use menu and then exit or close. The farthest key to the right is a home key and does not close any apps per se but will end calls.
