i just bought a 2nd hand blackberry bold 1 (9900) and i notice that i only can receive sms but i cannot compose sms / reply any sms that i receive.
I push the "blackberry' icon, and notice that the "compose sms" doesn't exist there. So, What should i do in order to retrieve the 'compose sms" so that i can compose / reply sms?
pls...i need help...

Have you tried the same SIM card on another device to see if you are able to send SMS ? If you have then first do a complete Backup of your device using BlackBerry Desktop Software then Reset it to factory setting to rule out any IT policy as it a used device , Check this Knowledge Base for further help :

Don't be sad , we still have some few things to try Have you tried that SIM on another device as suggested ! first try that , if it allow then the next step will be to reload the device OS . To do that just follow this Knowledge Base :
KB11320 : How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device software using BlackBerry desktop software for windows.
Please try it and let us know if it works.

A reset to factory setting is able to remove most IT policis on our BlackBerry Smartphone, Still, Go through this Knowledge Base and try Method #4 within this Knowledge Base again :
