Blackberry Bold 9700 Email setup problem

hi BB Guru's, 

 

i'm facing a great problem. after upgrade my OS to OS 6  Bundle 2949 after that i can not access my email settings and also can not restore my BBM contacts. is it a bug in the OS or device issue? 

 

Just to share after access BIS account via web then i start receving emails (******@airtelbd.blackberry.com) but can not access/setup my other emails accounts. 

 

can any BB guru help me??? please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you say you cannot access your email settings... why can't you?

Is the icon not there?

You don't recall your username/password?

You get an error after entering your username and password?

hi JSanders, 

 

i dont know why i cant access email settings from device. i already recall password/user name but nothing solved. 

 

icon is appear in option/setup menu but can't accessable. 

 

after accessing the BIS account via web then i can only receive/send email from the blackberry.com address. my other pop/IMAP account i can not setup yet. if i try from BIS web portal, it send a link to my device to validate the account. when i try to validate it device hangs.

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

 

Now, try the setup email icon again?

I ve got the same problem! And I ve tryed to reboot my phone by removing my battery, but it still doesn't work.
When I select the button email settings, there isn't any reaction and sometimes I see the next option and when I select it, it goes back the start screen of installation...

How do I solve this problem?? Help me!

i have the same problem after upgrading to os6 bundle 2949. cannot access email accounts. i press the icon in setup and nothing happens. have tried removing battery twice. had to change my work email password and now cannot change it on my phone, so am cut off, no email.

in my case i used airtelbd.blackberry.com. 

 

after reseting the phone it is working fine but some time Enterprise activision is missing but once i restart my device or perform network ON/OFF it again up in the list.

Has anyone had any luck with this?  I found the SetUp icon, clicked on that, then Setup, then under "Select the feature you want to set up" I found and clicked on Email Account and nothing happens.  Nothing.  All of the other icons shown open up and work if I click on them, but not Email Account.  I want to forward my GoDaddy email to my BlackBerry in addition to the verizon.net emails it is already receiving.  I have a Bold 9700 with 6.0 Bundle 2949.   This is frustrating.  Your help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

FastFoward, try this...

 

using your BlackBerry browser, go to mobile.blackberry.com

scroll down to Communication

Select Email

Select what you want to setup and proceed from there.
