Blackberry Bold 9790 - Calendar appointments are 1 hour off

Hi everyone

This is my first post here so apologies for any mistakes or if I am posting this in the wrong place.
 Just bought a Bold 9790 on Orange. I updated the Desktop Manager and backed up the phone. I now find that the start time of random calendar appointments have moved forward 1 hour. The only other thing I did was to send a few appointments from my Outlook calendar as email attachments that I have now deleted from the phone.

The phone is not set to sync with any calendar and is not connected to an Exchange server. I just use the calendar to add appointments locally in the phone. No BES either.

I am a bit hesitant to reset the phone as I have just managed to recover (a few) and re-enter all my contacts into the new phone as the previous one was wiped as a result of water damage (a dip in the pond).

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and whether there is a solution for this.

Would be very grateful for any pointers/advice.

Is your BlackBerry® Desktop Software configured to automatically synchronize the computer's date and time to your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9790 smartphone when it's connected? You can find this setting under Device Options in the BlackBerry® Desktop Software. Although you emailed your appointments from Microsoft® Outlook® instead of synchronizing, this KB article may apply in your situation. Thanks for the advice. I have checked the KB article and the settings on the PC match what is mentioned in that article for GMT/BST (UK local time). Also checked the device options and the device is configured to automatically sync with the time on the PC (this is the only option of the three that is checked). Is this correct or do I uncheck it? Would be grateful for your help.

 

Update: Just checked the device and noticed that after I disconnected the device from the PC a little while ago to check the device settings (automatic backup but no sync), some random appointments that were added directly to the device have now moved one calendar day forward - appointments for Saturday 3 PM have now moved to Sunday 3 PM. Becoming a bit of a nightmare as I have already missed some important meetings last week as I turned up late for them. The only solution at the moment seems to be to check each appointment and correct those that have moved.
