Blackberry Bold 9900 won't synchronise properly

Has anyone had experience of the Bold 9900 not synchronising with Outlook properly?  i recently upgraded from a 9700 model to the 9900 and now have problems syncronising with Outlook.  This worked flawlessly on the 9700 but on the 9900 (with latest code updates and latest desktop software), I find that although the desktop software gives all the indications that synchronisation is taking place (i.e delete prompts and green progress bars etc), when it says synchronisation complete, the changes and updates to Calendars and Contacts in Outlook have not been pushed to the 9900 which remains in the pre-sync state?? The only way to get the latest info onto the device is to tick the desktop software box which replaces all the data on the bold with the data on the PC.  This is very time consuming and is not the neat two way sync I used to enjoy on the 9700.  Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
