Blackberry Bold Display Battery with RED Cross

Hi All,

My BB Bold 9000 started displaying Battery symbol with RED Cross on it all of the sudden. I have replaced with the new Original Battery and kept with wall charger over night but still it shows the same thing.

I also tried to reinstall the bb o/s with Blackberry Apploader but it always stuck at "Wait for device initialization" and never moved on.

I would be really thankful if someone can help me out in resolving this. I LOVE MY BB Bold.

Best Regards,

Vik

Re: Blackberry Bold Display Battery with RED Cross

So, at this point, what happens when you remove the battery and replace, and allow it to reboot?

What is on the screen?

Re: Blackberry Bold Display Battery with RED Cross

Currently if I replace the battery with the new one or keep the old one it just displays a battery symbol with RED Cross on it.

Re: Blackberry Bold Display Battery with RED Cross

Try this before we do anything more drastic, like wiping and reloading the operatiing system...

When the BlackBerry is deeply drained it can take a while to catch the charge and boot up.

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable charger, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.
