Blackberry DeskTop Software not installing

When trying to install the Version 7 of the desktop software in Windows 8 64bit no go . Installer always tries to install C++ Redistributable and fails!  Immediately after that the installer closes. Have tried atleast 10 times and the same results even after turning off all running programs. Help Please.
