Blackberry Desktop Software 4.7 crashes computers

Hi

I would like to have some advice on problems with the Blackberry Desktop Software and it crashing my computers. I am running XP on both computres and I have down loaded v4.7 of Desktop Software. When I connect my Storm or my 8800 to any of my two computers it crashes them. If I boot with the Storm connected then it does not crash initially but when I try to do an update it crashes the computer.

Please advise.

Thanks

Re: Blackberry Desktop Software 4.7 crashes computers

Desktop Manager 4.7 is newly released. I've too have noticed some irregular behavior to my PC with 4.7 but I'm not sure whether that is being caused by desktop manager or not.

For your case if you continuously face the same behavior then uninstall the 4.7 with all the settings and then install it again. If problem still continues then degrade to desktop manager 4.6.

Re: Blackberry Desktop Software 4.7 crashes computers

I have to disagree with you there..putting on the v4.6 doesn't help at all...I have the v4.6 for my flip which I recently got like just 2 days ago. Ever since I put the 4.6 on, my pc would crash. Even on start up. Uninstalled it and re-installed but I still had the same problems. My pc is running on vista, relatively new with not a lot on it just my baby's pictures and some music. To have it crash on some program just for a smartphone really sucks. I just uninstalled the **bleep** thing altogether just so I wouldn't have to go through the problem everytime I have to turn on the pc. If ever I have to put anyting else on my flip, I'll just do it on my laptop which is just about nearing its dying days..Smiley Very Happy
