The trouble I am having is that Desktop Manager won't even load to get to the synchronize point....how did you get BBDM to start without freezing up at startup?

Finally! Came across a thread today on another forum with a link to SYNCAMATIC.....even though it is a few dollars a month it actually saves syncing with a cord altogether and means I never have to deal with BBDM again!!! I have downloaded, synced and tested Syncamatic several times and it works wonderfully. For those of you dependent on calendar syncing for work, it is perfect. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Here's what worked for me.
1) Downloaded the new version of Desktop software
2) Started the desktop software Without the phone being plugged in.
3) The software prompted me to update. I did the update.
4) The software now works well.
