Blackberry ID fail

Im in the UK with my Rogers Canadian unlocked bold 9000.  Put in an O2 sim, and it asks me to sign into Blackberry ID.  It fails.

 

I've reset my password and tried again - fails.

 

I'm on try 8 and I don't want to wipe my device - any ideas?

 

Is blackberry ID globally universal??
