Blackberry ID not working

Hi.  My BB ID on my new Torch 9860 phone isn't allowing me access.  The message "Unable to log in to your Blackberry ID account" keeps coming up.  I know it is the right password as I can log in on my PC with it.

I am trying to sort out some e-mail problems but I can't get anywhere because I can't get through the ID stage.  Does anyone know how to sort this?
