Blackberry ID

I have tried to enter my blackberry ID into my blackberry and it keeps saying 'unable to log in to your Blackberry ID account' even though I have logged in online and I logged in the very first time I tried it. I then had to restart it, and after I turned it back on that message kept on popping up. Please can somebody explain to me what I have done wrong.
