no I haven't changed the sim card and I'm not in roaming when this happened.

If you find it really complicated and want a simple solution then first do a complete backup of your device using Desktop Software then follow specifically # Workaround 2 within this Knowledge Base to resolve your issue .

I'm not comfortable erasing all the data on my phone. Can I take the phone somewhere and have a technician do it?
Yes , you can take it to your Service provider , I hope they will help .
Or if you first do a backup of your device data as I said you won't lose anything , you can restore those data later on, Refer to this Knowledge Base for help :
