Blackberry Messenger Not Available for My Storm

I have look through the forum and searched online and cannot find anyone with this same problem.

I upgraded to teh Storm yesterday. I have been installing and configuring all day but teh Blackberry Messenger is not on my Storm. I tried downloading and it tells me that it is not available for my version (platform v4.7.0.76). I tried going throught the destop siftware and it does not list the Blackberry Messenger in teh applications available to download.

Any direction to solve this would be appreciated.

ON your device > Options > Advanced > Applications, do you see it listed?

Look in your Instant Messaging folder, Applications, etc.

Re: Blackberry Messenger Not Available for My Storm

Yes, I had checked there and every other possible place.

But now I feel stupid. I have been a BlackBerry user from day one but it has taken the Storm to humble me. I was getting really frustrated because I could not find the BlackBerry Messenger. Then I downloaded Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger and could not find those either. I was about to give up when I noticed the Instant Messaging Folder. This is my fourth BB and it is taking a lot of getting use to.

Sorry for waisting everyone's time. I'll just go hide under my bed now.

Hehehehe! I like you! You fit in here well!!!   Smiley Tongue   Smiley Tongue

BTW -- I can honestly report that, at my advanced age and level of experience, the Storm has the longest, steepest, and hardest learning curve of any device I've ever had. I got mine at first VZW release in late November...it took me into February to finally get to the point that I said that I love it. Long time, that...so give youself a break.
