Re: Blackberry Messenger Not Visible

Which carrier do you have? You may just not have an Applications folder. I have AT&T and depending on my theme the Messenger icon is either on my home screen or under my Applications folder (which is on the home screen)

You also checked with your carrier like it said in the KB article?

What folders do you have on the main screen? Have an Instant Messaging folder with any of your themes?

Re: Blackberry Messenger Not Visible

The only thing I can think of to do is to delete the IM service book and get it resent to your device. If you into Options | Advanced Options | Service book, find the one called Desktop[BBIM] and delete it.

Afterwards you can get it resent back to your device by:

  1. Going into Options | Advanced Options | Host Routing Table. Select the bold entry, hit your menu button, and choose Register Now. Afterwards reset your BlackBerry by removing the battery for 1 minute.
  2. Have your IT department resend the service book to your device.

Hi,

I'm the lesser half of JM's brain Smiley Happy

Lets do this:

OPTIONS - ADVANCED OPTIONS-HOST ROUTING TABLES click to enter and press menu key, select register now,

You will get a verification email.

Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute,

Let the device reboot 1-3 min, Then message somebody Smiley Happy

But let us know first, OK?

 Thanks

Well Okay! I was a day late and a dollar short on that one. I missed that post altogether.

Give me two minutes, I might have thought of something...original this time Smiley Happy

Darn Smiley Sad*

I knew they had an OTA but you have to be lower the OS 4.2 to load it. The say anything newer is already on your device, and needs to be installed through the DM.

Is that how we're goanna go?

By the way JM, I don't have and applications folder either Verizon!!
