Last week I purchased a blackberry with 3 Mobile UK. The service has been
fantastic - calls, text, internet all running very well. My only problem is
that I find I am receiving BBM messages a lot slower than my friends who are
on other networks. Messages send well, it is just receiving messages that is
the problem. It is far from instant - sometimes takes 10seconds, 30seconds
or one occasion 22mins for one BBM message to come through.
I have changed the battery, switched off the phone, changed the sim card,
updated to latest blackberry messenger but the problem still persists.
I was wondering if this is something to do with the Blackberry service
itself or my mobile network? I have heard that some times blackberry take a
while to "break in" before running optimally but I cannot risk waiting
because I have only 7 more days before I can cancel my contract.
You help will be greatly appreciated.

I am facing the same problem now, on my curve 8520. With vodafone italy as a provider.
basically sometimes i receive bbm messages with delay, and it creates a sort of bottleneck where messages get stuck and then i receive them all at once.
People chatting with me experience the same problem on reverse, despite my messages appears to get trough to me.
Is it a software problem or my bb? it is quite old and i am changing it in a month.
