Blackberry Messenger SO Inconsistent on the Bold

I have BBM problems CONSTANTLY.  I was thinking the Bold was the best thing ever, but the inconsistency of BBM is leading me to reconsider.  It's just simply not working.  Let me just say that I've had a Blackberry for almost two years and am relatively tech savvy.  I'll send messages that don't go through. (Even to people with Bold's and to people who AREN'T on the phone with earlier phones).  I am not receiving messages from people, or receiving them extremely late. 


It has just been garbage lately.  I live in the middle of Los Angeles in an area where I get full reception.  Is the network just this bad??  Is there something wrong with my phone?  I've powered off and on, I've pulled the battery for over a minute, and I've turned the radio off and on.

Try uninstalling the application, after this reset the device taking out the battery and install Blackberry Messenger for this link
