There is a simple instruction on how to get it back.
Connect your device via USB-cable to the computer.
Launch Internet Explorer
Open this address: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices/
Click on "Update Now" button
Now browse the list of available applications and check "BlackBerry Messenger"
After that complete all the necessary steps via pressing "Next" button in the popup window.

I tried www.blackberry.com/messenger but it doesn't allow me to download, saying my version 4.6 isn't compatible with over-the-air download available. I'm still digging to find my CD.
Any other advice?
