I was able to fix it by deleting the application.  Go to options, device, applications manager then delete from there.  Then reinstall it.  It will take you through the normal prompts and will also ask you for your back up contacts list from either your memory card or your device.   


The only thing I have yet to configure is the wi-fi piece, but everthing else is working.

I've just deleted and reinstalled and i'm having exactly the same issue.

So the BlackBerry Help account finally got back to me.
They sent me this link for App World:

My App World is finally back! I'll get working on the BBM stuff soon.
