Blackberry Protect available backup files to Restore

when using blackberry protect, is it possible to restore a backup that is not listed any more ?

i usually back up one every two weeks

the available backups were on the 7th july, 14th july, 31 of july and 7 and 14 august.

There was also an older one from 2012.

When i last backed up on the 14 of august the 7 and 14th of july files disappeared.

By anyway is it possible to get them back ?

Blackberry Protect Infrastructure could help ?

How ?

Thank you

Re: Blackberry Protect available backup files to Restore

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Each time this question has come up in the past, the answer has been the same...no. Only those backups listed are eligible as the source of restore. If anything is no longer listed (for whatever reason...we can't know "why"), then it is permanently gone, and there is no way for it to be recovered.

This is one of the many reasons that, while BB Protect is an excellent component of a good backup process, it should not be relied upon as the sole component. You can read more about all of that via the link in my auto-sig on this post.

Good luck!

Re: Blackberry Protect available backup files to Restore

You are welcome...an old saying...

There are two kinds of computing device users -- those who have lost data, and those who will.

Backups, like insurance, are neither a reactive nor an optional process. And, given what I said earlier about the quality of BB Protect as a component of a full backup process, it is important that the backup process be truly full and complete, which BB Protect by itself is IMHO not.

Good luck!
