Blackberry Torch 9860

Lately my BlackBerry Torch 9860 has been rebooting itself and loading rather slow. However since about 11 o clock this morning it had rebooted itself and froze about 3/4 of the way through. I left it on charge to see if that would help to boot it up but it had not. I took the battery out an put back in a couple of times an still has not done anything to help, it has now been on the same screen for 3hours. I was only listening to music during this time. Please help!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

If you can't get it to work call your service providers 800 number and have them connect you with BB Tech support. If you are less than a year old you have warranty, if not I hope you bought the extended warranty. I went thru this and after 3 days of BB Tech support told me my RAM was broken. They placed a call to VZW who finally agreed to send me a refurbished 9850 with a 90 day warranty . So far I've had no trouble and that was at end of Nov. of 12. Good luck.
