Blackberry Torch and BB messenger

Whenever I use the BB messenger voicemail on my Torch 9800 I am forced to pull the unit battery to re-connect  the Bluetooth in my car after use.

 

If I do not use the voice application the connection is always succesful.

 

My wife has the same phone and the same issue with a different car, is this a known bug?

Can you provide the version of software you're running?  Type myver in a message to get this information.  Also when did the issue start?  Just to clarify are you using the Visual Voice Mail application?

myver does not work , where else can I find the requested information?

 

 I am not using the visual voice mail application. The issue started when I upgraded to the BB voice application.

 

The phone is using 6.0 bundle 2921 Platform 6.6.0.241

It would appear that Blackberry support does not read these forums and does not care about consumers. How can I resolve this problem or do I just give up using BBM voice?

 

I travel in my car continuously and do not enjoy pulling the battery to get the phone to link properly. How can I escalate this issue?

Hey jdodwell,

 

Sorry for the delay in replying.

 

To find the root cause of this issue we are going to need to gather some logs from the BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone.  Please contact your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry so we can gather the logs.

 

If you uninstall BBM 7.0, does the Bluetooth connection work flawlessly?
