Thanks for the question.

 

Just to clarify, the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone does charge when it is plugged into the computer? Have you tried a different power outlet?  Also when it is charging from the computer does it show a lightning bolt or a plug symbol?

have exact same problem but worse

my 9900 is now DED

i have 2 batteries but it suddenly decided to stop charging either - neither charges from PC by USB, nor by USB mains plug connection nor by straight mains charger connector

i have been forced to puy a cheapo mobile for my sim while i investigate

WHY hasnt someone from Blackberry support engaged with this long running forum problem

re earlier post

before it died  on both types of connection it was showing recognition flicker in the battery icon like struggling to charge...

now if connect (to either pc or mains) the top red light comes on for about a 40 secs and then goes out
