Re: Blackberry boldl

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Blackberry is designed to the windows native drivers, Most PC's have there own, widcomm stack,

here are two articles addressing the issue:

http://not.hellalame.com/bluetooth.htm

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04132&sliceId=SAL_Pub...

Thanks,

Re: Blackberry bold bluetooth peripheral device

H there,

My Blackberry Bold is already paired with my PC, but I just started getting this message. Could it have anything to do with installing the Media Sync app?

Thanks!

Re: Blackberry bold bluetooth peripheral device

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that it didn't quote the message.

The original message noted not being able to pair the device due to this error. I have paired the device and synced a few times already, but still get the error message re: the Bluetooth Periperal Device when I start my computer.

Re: Blackberry bold bluetooth peripheral device

Go into the device manager and find the device missing its driver and hit the update driver.

Tell it you want to pick the driver

It will give you a page of different types of hardware - Pick Ports

Go down the list and you will see a "rim virtual serial port" choose that and it will install the driver

Do the same thing for the second missing driver and your problems are all solved.Smiley Wink
