Blackberry curve 9300 not starting up

Hi there,

Recently my phone has not been working, for some odd reason it wont start up. I took out the battery and put it back in the led went red for about 15 seconds before going off again, usually the start up screen would show up but it didn't. One of my friends lent me his battery it started up but generated a lot of heat before shuting off, now his battery doesn't work either, if you could help me with this i would be grateful.

Regards

Hi Spartansean

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

First arrange a good fully charged BlackBerry Battery then use the application loader to load the OS back on your device , for further help please refer to this KB :

KB10144  : How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader

Please try it and let us know of your progress.

Hi Spartansean

Can you borrow the same from your friend if you can and try those steps before buying a new one!

Good luck.
