Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

I just upgraded from pocketmac to Blackberry for mac and now my phone won't sync with ical or my contacts. The computer and the phone are communicating but after the software says they have synced there has been no change to either the phone or the computer. Did I miss something in the software setup? Any other tips?

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

Did you completely delete pocketmac before you loaded the DM Mac?

It must be completely deleted.

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

I'm fairly new to Mac How do I uninstall programs beyond just deleting them off the applications folder?

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

I've been having the same problem since I downloaded the new software on Friday.  I have completely uninstalled PocketMac and MissingSync; no longer getting sync error messages, but the sync is incomplete.  No consistency to what shows up on Blackberry vs. Mac, nor whether it's a recurring entry or a single-time event.  Any suggestions?

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

I have been having trouble with iCal syncs as well (the computer freezes) although Address Book and Notes seem to work okay.  I did a complete uninstall of Pocketmac but noticed some files that seem to be associated with PM in some of the folders you said to look in (for ex. PocketMac SyncManagerOEM.plist).  Should I delete these as well as the specific ones you mentioned?  Is there a way to tell is a file is associated with a particular program (obvious for ones with Pocketmac in name but are there others)?  Thanks for the help.

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

Ok, I believe all the files identified in the post are the only files.  however pocketmac did have a lot of "hidden" files.

So go to your FINDER window.  in the upper right hand corner there is a "search" window.  type in Pocketmac.  this will bring up any and all files that may still be on your computer.

Delete all of them. Don't just put them in the trash you need to deleted them from the trash can.  And then restart your mac.

DO NOT have your BB attached during this process.

Once the computer is up and running again, all pocketmac files should be gone.

Then attach your BB and launch DM.

Go under device, once its connected and up and running.

I suggest that you clear our all your calendar and Address book entries on the BB.

HOWEVER DO NOT CLEAR THEM WITHOUT BACKING UP YOUR MAC.

Then try to sync them again. Hopefully this will work for you.

If you are nervous about the clearing of the BB there is another post here, can't find the link right now, that will walk you through it.

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

I have a mac power pc running 10.5.8 and have downloaded desktop manager for mac.  It does not recognize my ical at all and even if I start a new calendar it still wont recognize it all.

Really frustrating as I cannot find a solution to this and have no idea why it wont see my ical.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Re: Blackberry for Mac not syncing with ical

Ok I've deleted pocketmac completely. And reinstalled DM. It seems that I am getting some sort of syncing because I had a few things pop up on my BB that were on my mac but it isn't everything and it isn't consistent. Now what?
