Blackberry messenger.....

Ok ......Basic to cut a long story very short I own a blackberry 8310 on vodafone.....

I live in the Uk and my girlfriend currently is living in the U.S....... We have been trying to use instant messenger..... but there is a problem....

Her instant messages get through to me fine no problem...... but when ever i reply........ they say sent and delivered but disappear and she never gets them...... however i have IM'ed people in the UK with no problems......

After talking to 1001 people...... i feel i have been fobbed off by Vodafone...... after several times the system os fine and should work they have now told me they DO NOT SUPPORT the messenger service.... .... the only reason i can IM people in the UK is because its using PIN TO PIN.............. this makes no sense to me because surly my girlfriend is communicating to me via pin to pin so why is it only a one way thing??????

Re: Blackberry messenger.....

Go to www.mobile.blackberry.com from your bb, check if you can download the bb messenger again, if you can, delete the icon you have right now on your bb and download again the porogram.

Re: Blackberry messenger.....

You can reinstall the messenger application to check whether the problem resolves or not. However, before doing so remove/delete your girlfriend's contact from BlackBerry messenger and ask her to do the same. Now add her through PIN and check the behavior.

Re: Blackberry messenger.....

I have the exact same problem, save mine worked fine for five months and then stopped working four weeks ago.  Girlfriend is also on at and t she can pin me but cant receive my pins.  At and T says its my phone with the problem, 02 say its her phone.  I have wiped my phone clean and re-installed but still no good.
