I'm hoping somebody can help me.
Recently, my phone was charging in a friend's car. (No sure if thats relevant at all but this is the last time my phone was working properly.
Since then, it switches off by itself unless it is charging. As soon as I take it off the charger, it will switch off after a minute or 2. Completely. So I have to take out the battery and reboot it. Once it comes on again, it stays on for a minute or 2 and switches off again. I have used different batteries and it still does it. So it's the phone. I have checked all phone settings and no options of auto on/off or anything to switch off the phone is selected. What could be wrong?? Charging is the only way to keep the **bleep** thing on. Blackberry Bold 9900 only 4 months old!
Please can someone give a heads up if they can help? Genalexia@gmail.com

I'm experiencing the same thing. Try turning wifi OR bluetooth on. It should not power off after that. This will drain your battery like crazy. But at least it's on. Still trying to find a permanent fix..

Wow, never thought this would ever work. But amazingly it does. Keeping either my wi-fi or bluetooth on keeps the phone on. Thanks so much. I know I should just take it in but I dont have time at the moment so until I get the chance it helps to have a temp solution.
It's not possible that there is a particular wifi or bluetooth setting doing this? Very random I must admit. Thanks for the responses, any answer from any angle helps with such out of the blue problems.
