Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been discussed before but I'm unable to find it if it has.
I recently had my Blackberry Bold updated, Now when I plug it into my macbook pro it wont prompt or connect the mass storage system (And yes I have changed the settings back and forth several times) and it won't show up like any normal usb storage device in my finder.
I have pocketmac and it syncs just fine but I would like to be able to drop files straight into the media card and device memory.
I have tried plugging it into my pc and it doesn't seem to show up there either. I searched and found something called "BB storage activation.rar" or something like that and it doesn't seem to work for mac. Is there anything like this for a mac or anything that will allow me to directly access the memory on my computer.
Thanks in advance.

also tried media sync; again mac recognizes device but no mass storage area. BB techs have not
ocme up with a solution

Greetings from Charleston!
Have you tried the following:
Confirm that Mass Storage Mode Support is turned On
Confirm that Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected is turned either to Yes or Prompt (i.e. not No)
Out of the box, my new Blackberry Tour did the same as what you're describing below, but then I made these changes and now it works fine! Even though, I now use Bluetooth to transfer most things between my MacBook Pro and my iMac and the Blackberry - there's no need to plug anything in then.

thanks; although you could not find it on the mac prior to your solution, did you find on the PC prior to your solution..
In my case the PC recognized the media card; further the mac worked with pocket mac except for media card; i know mac is fine since I tried with other tmobile 8120 phones with 4.3 on them(I have 4.5); i am little antsy about trying your solution since it makes no sense that PC can recognize
memory card and mac can't given no problem with mac --for the time being i use a USB adaptor
reader and insert my media card in there to transfer files which works ; so I am wondering if prior to your fix if the PC recognized the memory card

Here's the workaround I've been using:
Go to Options
Go to Memory
Auto enable mass storage mode when connected- select No
Connect BB to Mac via USB
Go back to options:memory:Auto enable mass storage mode when conencted- Select YES
You should see both the media card and the device memory appear on the desktop as separate disks
If you "eject" the drives then you will have to repeat the process. If you unplug hot you will not, at least for a little while. I did this and then reconnected after and hour and I had to repeat the process
BTW this is with a BB storm, on an Mac Pro Quad Core Intel 3GHZ Desktop running OS 10.5.8. My main issue was that when plugging in via the USB cable I was only able to see the media card, whereas previously i could see both the media card and the device memory.
Good luck and post your results.
