Bluetooth Issues

I have been having difficulty using a bluetooth for the last two months or so. The motorola bluetooth I had been using stopped working. It does work with another type phone. All of the four other bluetooth devices I have tried work partially. While I can hear and talk through the device, I cannot accept or end calls or activate voice dialing other than using the button on the side of the phone. I finally bought a Blackberry Bluetooth thinking that the same company would make compatible devices. This is not so. I have gone to my service provider who assures me my phone is properly programmed. Approximately two months ago when I was syncing my phone to my desktop Outlook, I upgraded to the newest Blackberry software. Do I have a phone or software issue and how do I fix it?
