Bluetooth has stopped working

HI. I use bluetooth connection with my wonderful 9800 Torch to check e-mail on my Playbook.

This week the bluetooth has stopped working.  My Playbook cannot 'see' my Torch.

Hoping that this is a software issue, I've turned off / on the bluetooth on both devices and have turned both devises off and rebooted to no avail.

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear about your issue. 

 

In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.

Once you have backed up your BlackBerry smartphone please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone software.

Quick question.  Do I use these links from the Desktop (my cptr) or from the browser on my Torch?  (new at this)

I did the backup (not the first time). I then followed the second link (Clean reload)..... but it had me doing it on the desktop software. Id didn't seem to change anything about how the phone worked. SHOULD I try it using the browser on my smartphone or is there something I should do to the phone connected to the Desktop after the reboot of the computer.
I went ahead anyway and did the restore. (don't know about 'selective' restore.
Anyway the problem is still there. Bluetooth not working.... and the blue light on the phone doesn't flash... as it hasn't since the bluetooth stopped working.
Please tell me what to try next. Thanks. Peter
