I have the same issue. i have tried it with a jawbone 1, Blueant z9i and a Plantronics HS on the 9530 build .65. I tryed .75 and it worked right the first time but now it does the same drop off to the hand set. I haven't figured out a way around this yet. May just have to wait for and update to fix this.

I am experiencing the same problem with a Jawbone headset and my car's built-in Bluetooth. My work around is to dial the numbers from the directory or punch them in the dialpad (both a pain while driving). We need a fix to this problem.

I have had the same problem dialing the number from the keypad too. There's numerous issues with this right now.
My brother's Storm audio dies on him every so often when he places calls. People on the other end can hear him, but he can't hear them.

I contacted Verizon about the problem I am having with my headset disconnecting and was told that the new OS upgrade would take care of this issue. Well, I just finished downloading and installing the upgrade and it didn't take care of the problem. Guess I'll be calling tech support on Monday...

I'm seeing this behavior on my vehicle onboard bluetooth system. If I dial from contacts, it routes the call to the car's system with no problem. But if I use a speed dial, the system on the car activates, then the radio cuts back in and the BB has the call. Noticed it just yesterday.
Sucks for now, but I guess a fix will come.
