Bluetooth sync without device password?

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I've been searching for the answer to this and cannot find it.

Is there a way to bluetooth sync via BB Desktop to Outlook (for calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes) without having to input my BB device pasword on my computer, while still having a device password?

This was easy on my Treo, but can't figure it out here.  Also, my computer is listed as "trusted" within the device properties on my BB8830.  I don't want to give up the security of having a device password, but I hate having to enter it everytime I want to sync.

One other basic question... is there a way to initiate a sync from my BB?  I can only see how to do it from BB Desktop on my PC, but would like to be able to initiate from my phone also.

Thanks!
