Bold 9000 Media Card Issue

I have a 8GB SDHC storage card. I have a MacBook Pro running the latest version of Leopard. I couldn't get Pocketmac to recognize the media card in the Bold, so I manually added music to the music folder on the storage card while the Bold was connected to my MacBook with the USB cable.

My Bold recognized the card as soon as it was inserted and I can see my music on when I manually search for it. However, the media player is stuck on "scanning" and has not imported/indexed(?) any of the music.

I have two issues:

1) How do I get Pocketmac to recognize the media card?

2) What do I need to do to get the Bold's media player to automatically import/index the music that I manually loaded on the storage card?

Thanks for your help.
