I am having problems connecting my device with the USB cable. I have tried three cables, and while my PC sees my Blackberry Bold 9700, and evenb recognises its PIN, it will not allow me to sync. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, but to no avail.
Can anyone help?

If you have the correct version installed for your OS (eg. Windows 32/64, Mac, etc) and you are running the program with administrative priviledges then the computer end should be g2g.
Off the top of my head you would want to make sure the SD card is not write protected, otherwise I would just do a backup then a reload of the handheld sw.

Plug your phone into your PC via USB (if you can get it to connect, which I think you're having issues with). If you can connect it properly, open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Once your phone is recognized, click Device at the top of the software then Restore from the drop-down menu. Choose the most recent restore point and proceed. If you don't have any restore points, then click Device at the top of the software then Update instead. It will probably tell you you're up to date, so click View Other Versions and choose the most recent version and proceed.
